• This is my daughter’s third year at Smith School, and next year she will begin her fourth. Words fall short to express my gratitude to each and every person who has contributed to my daughter’s education and emotional well-being. After years of experiencing bullying at various schools, Smith School restored her confidence and desire to learn within a community. It is a healthy environment for everyone, with a loving and dedicated staff.

    My daughter has been able to develop her incredible talent for singing and music. The music department is outstanding, and her teacher, Damien, is one of the best educators I have ever met. Thanks to him and Leah, they have created wonderful productions together with the students.

  • My daughter came to the U.S. from Colombia at age 11 as an English Language learner, with hardly any education and with special needs. After being in a public middle school and falling through the cracks, I knew she needed much more support. Several private special ed schools rejected her because they couldn't handle the intricacies of her situation and she didn't fit into their "box". Thankfully, The Smith School said that they felt they could help her. Their small classes and attention paid to each student's needs is remarkable. I didn't think that college was in the cards for her but today she is a freshman at Fairleigh Dickinson. A true success story!
