Algebra 1

In this course, students be introduced to different types of functions (linear, quadratic, absolute value, exponential, and radical). They will be learning how to solve various solutions algebraically (adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing) as well as graphing each respective functions mentioned above. The big takeaway in this course is for students to solve problems by manipulating the equations primarily using adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing, graphing and solving problems in various ways.

Upon completing this course, students will be able to:

1. Add, subtract, multiply and divide polynomials.

2. Graph various functions.

3. Solve for solutions algebraically and graphically.

4. Analyze patterns and predict a term through sequences.

5. Understand the behaviors of various functions on graphs.

Geometry

In this course, students will analyze and learn properties of various shapes such as triangles, circles and quadrilaterals. They will applying previous algebra skills in certain units and will be introduced to proofs on the various shapes mentioned above. Furthermore, they will also learn the basics of trigonometry when learning about right triangles as well as analyzing behaviors of shapes on graphs.

Upon completing this course, students will be able to:

1. Analyze and deduce all angles and sides of various shapes.

2. Understand the behaviors of the shape through rigid motion such as reflection, rotation, transformation, and dilation.

3. Apply previous algebraic skills to help find sides of certain shapes.

4. Learn the basic of Trigonometry in right triangles.

Algebra 2/Trig.

In this course, students will revisit many of the topics they learned back in Algebra 1, but with more in depth across all units. Students will also be introduced to additional functions such as Logarithms, Rational, and the Trig. Functions (Sine, Cosine and Tangent). Students, who's taking this course, will be able to utilize some of the skills they learned in real life situation such as predicting a population of people or species using exponential or logarithmic functions.

Upon completing this course, students will be able to:

1. Understand and achieve more in depth mathematical concepts such as long division with polynomials.

2. Graph new functions as well as two functions combined.

3. Solve for solutions algebraically and graphically.

4. Analyze patterns and predict a term, and sum of all terms, through sequences.

5. Understand the behaviors of various functions on graphs.

Pre-Calculus

In this course, students will review majority of lessons on algebra, geometry, algebra 2 and trigonometry with a few lessons in the latter half of the year in preparation for Calculus. Students will be able to apply what they've previously learned such as solving all functions algebraically or graphically.

Upon completing this course, students will be able to:

1. Demonstrate their mastery in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Trigonometry.

2. Know how to solve and graph various functions.

3. Solving various problems, using Greek letters and various formulas and theorem that correlate with them.

4. Prepare for Calculus.
