Parents

Parent participation is a critical component in every child's education. The Smith School encourages parents to be involved in several areas:

• Curriculum planning
• Parent/Teacher conferences
• Day-to-day involvement in at-home assignments
• Periodic review of student's progress
• On-on-one communication with teachers and school administrators

Every student's attendance, participation, and progress is closely monitored by the school. This information is communicated to the parents on a regular basis. Parents are strongly encouraged to take an active role in their child's education.

The Smith School communicates to parents by phone, mail, email, and through its Parents Association.

Alumni

Alumni of The Smith School are welcome to participate at school functions. They are also encouraged to keep in touch and take advantage of opportunities to support the school. On occasion they come to the school to share their college experiences with the students.
